Chief Justice Anthony Gates

Chief Justice Anthony Gates has called on judicial officers to remain apolitical when delivering service to all Fijians.

Speaking to FBC News, Gates says this is vital as Fijians need an efficient and honest judicial system.

Gates adds maintaining a high level of transparency and at the same time ensuring credibility is important when delivering judicial services.

“The prime concern that I have will be the delivery of services, it must be efficient and honest and non-political.”

Gates says he’s happy with the local judicial officers as they are heading in the right direction in ensuring the neutrality of our judicial system.
