Four men will be produced at the Ba Magistrates Court today for allegedly robbing a couple in their home in Waiwai, Ba over the weekend.

The accused in their 30s and 40s, are from Nakasi, Nausori, Tacirua, and Lautoka.

They are charged with two counts each of aggravated robbery and one count each of theft.

The four had forcefully entered the home of the couple on Saturday morning and allegedly stole cash, jewellery, and a mobile phone before forcing the couple into their vehicle and driving to Lautoka.

They were left abandoned at the site. The couple in their 50s managed to free themselves and alerted police.

The first accused was arrested in Yalalevu, Ba following the persistent efforts of a concerned neighbor who heard the commotion and pursued the vehicle believed to have transported the four accused persons to the home of the victims.

The remaining suspects were arrested by the investigating team.
