Former estate officer’s judgment deferred to next month

A former estate officer of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation charged with corruption related charges will be sentenced next month.

FICAC had charged Melaia Senimolau with 16 counts of obtaining financial advantage.

It’s alleged that on 16 separate occasions, Senimolau provided false FPTC receipts and bill of Cost’s as receipts, to obtain a financial advantage in the sum of $18,929.

It’s alleged the incident happened between March 2015 and January 2017 when she was employed at the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation.

The case will be re-called on the 15thof next month.
