FICAC requests for more time in Rabuka’s case

FICAC has sought more time from the Suva Magistrates Court to consider the defense request in the case of Sitiveni Rabuka.

Rabuka is charged with one count of breach of his bail.

It is alleged that on June 18th last year, Rabuka breached a bail condition imposed by the court, not to approach or interfere with witnesses connected with the case.

Rabuka’s lawyer Vilimoni Vosarogo says the last adjournment was to see what FICAC had to say on the withdrawal of charges.

FICAC lawyer Sam Savumirara requested for time to consider the letter from the defense requesting withdrawal of the matter.

The case has been adjourned to February 27th.
