Drug case against former Suva lawyer further adjourned

The case against former Suva Lawyer Shazran Lateef and Zoe Maharaj Moore was called in the Suva Magistrates court today.

However it was further adjourned after the court was informed that Lateef is in remand for another case.

In this matter, Lateef is charged with three counts of being in possession of illicit drugs alongside Moore.

It is alleged that in July this year Lateef had in his possession 7.89 grams of illicit drugs namely Methamphetamine.

It is also alleged that on the same day, he had in his possession 12.49 grams of Cocaine and 2.5 grams of Marijuana.

The matter has been adjourned to January 2nd.
