The State today told the court that a bag was allegedly retrieved from Raiwalui which contained the cocaine and some money.

The court heard that as a result, there is a possibility of additional charges to be laid on Raiwalui.

The state lawyer said that necessary tests were carried out on the bar of cocaine.

The court also heard that two other accomplices met Raiwalui covered in blood and admitted that he had allegedly stabbed Farsani.

The state in their submission also informed the court that post mortem reports revealed a single stab wound on the victim’s chest which was the cause of death.

In response, the defense has stated that they will be disputing the fact that their client was involved in the murder.

The Defense stated that Raiwalui was part of an illegal drug dealing case but had nothing to do with the alleged murder.

They said Raiwalui walked out of the alleged drug dealing meeting before the alleged murder occurred.

The defense has also applied for bail on the grounds that the accused is a first offender and had nothing to do with the alleged crime.

The accused also pleaded not guilty to the charge in court this morning.

The State is objecting bail based on caution interviews from the two accomplices and evidence from an independent witness who was present on the road during the alleged murder case.

High Court Judge has stated that the bail ruling will be given on notice.

The substantive matter will be recalled on August 28th for mention.
