Case of former Vodafone Fiji staff deferred to March

The case of a former Vodafone Fiji Limited employee has been deferred to March.

The former Vodafone employee is charged with two counts of bribery and one count of obtaining financial advantage

It is alleged that between 1st July to 31st December last year, 32-year-old Rajneal Rakesh Kumar while being employed at Vodafone Fiji Limited as a specialist fraud, risk and corporate security solicited an advantage of $7000 for his personal gain.

40-year-old Nilesh Kumar who aided and abetted Rajneal Kumar to commit the offence also appeared in the court charged with one count of aiding and abetting bribery.

The court has given Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption time to serve all disclosures.

The matter has been adjourned to March 7th.
