The defense lawyer for former politician Jale Baba has indicated that there is a high probability that he may take a progressive approach in his court case.

Baba is charged with one count of making a false declaration.

It is alleged that between August 1st and October 15th last year, he made false statements on social media by publishing falsified voter lists and other false information related to the voter lists on Facebook, which he knew to be false.

Baba’s matter was called in the Suva Magistrates court yesterday.

The accused has been ordered to be present in the next court sitting.

The matter has been adjourned to 21st November.
