Alleged police attacker’s trial date set

The man who allegedly attacked six police officers at Delainavesi Police Station, in Suva last year will go on trial in February next year.

Twenty-five-year-old Samuela Bokadi appeared in the Suva High Court this morning and has been further remanded in custody.

Bokadi is charged with six counts of intent to cause grievous harm and six counts of resisting arrest.

It is alleged that on 26th July last year Bokadi and his defacto partner had an argument and she went to Delainavesi

Police Station to lodge a complaint.

It is alleged that Bokadi then assaulted the six police officers and damaged Fiji Police Force’s property.

He has also applied for bail pending trial.

The matter has been adjourned to 6th of May.
