A 35-year-old man who allegedly attacked on duty police officers during a drug operation appeared at the Nadi Magistrates court this afternoon.
Seci Radomole is charged with two counts of serious assault and one count of recklessness and negligence.
Radomole was arrested at the Wailoaloa Beach in Nadi on Wednesday with a juvenile at Solevu on Malolo Island by a team of officers who were deployed following the attack.
The prosecution objected to his bail on the grounds that he has 28 previous convictions and that he had also breached his bail conditions.
He has been further remanded in custody.
Radomole informed the court that he wishes to seek legal aid assistance.
The matter has been adjourned to 8th February.
Meanwhile, a juvenile who was arrested with the accused has been interviewed and released.
Police says illicit drugs were also seized by the arresting team.
The investigation in relation to the alleged drug find continues.
