Plea date set for alleged airline drug traffickers

Alleged drug smugglers Justin Ho and Fredrick Epeli are expected to take their plea next month.

28-year-old Ho and 40-year-old Epeil are both charged each with unlawful exportation of illicit drugs.

Today in the Lautoka High Court the State asked for 7 days to file the amended information.

Justin Ho was also not present in court today as he is currently admitted at the Lautoka Hopsital.

It is alleged in December last year in Nadi, Epeli and Ho without lawful authority facilitated in exporting more than two kilograms of cocaine and illicit drugs to Sydney, Australia via the national carrier.

It’s also alleged that on the same day, the duo engaged in the dealing for the transfer, transport, supply, use, manufacture, and sale of cocaine and illicit drugs.

They will reappear on the 3rd of next month.
