Twenty-eight people will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court this afternoon.

They have been charged with unlawful assembly.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigation ACP Bitukula Waqanui says the group is alleged to have unlawfully gathered on a piece of land in Lautoka on Wednesday morning and refused to disperse when directed to by Police.

The group was arrested in Lautoka on Wednesday.
