The lawyer in the case contesting the tourism development of Shirley Park in Lautoka has been given seven days to file a submission on behalf of his client.
Aman Ravindra-Singh told FBC News that his client’s injunction application has been filed against the Minister for Local Government, the Director Town and Country and the developers calling for a cease to the development.
State Lawyers argued that the application should be dismissed.
The court will rule on the 10th of August.
A group of ratepayers are objecting to the rezoning of a section of the park that will see the development of a hotel at the site.
