In order to better the services provide by the Fiji Courts, the Judicial Department is in the process of developing a Base Line Survey.

Liyanage says this survey is supported by European Union and the United National Development Programme as part of their access to justice project.

“What we are trying to do is have a proper customer survey done, a based line survey then following the survey they will conduct surveys in an annual manner.”

Liyanage says currently those Fijians dissatisfied with the services received by the Courts can lodge a complaint with the Registrar.

He adds this platform is open to all Fijians with one inmate lodging a complaint daily.
