Daveta says they’d been planning to tie the knot for a few months but between work and the expense of going to the mainland, they hadn’t been able too until the service was brought to them at Naisisili village.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa was also part of this civil marriage noted that through the REACH program, a number of government services could be carried out in remote and rural areas ensuring all Fijians have access.

The REACH team is expected to be in the Yasawa group of Islands for another week before they complete their outreach program.
