COP23 Climate Champion rallies delegates

November 8, 2017 5:07 pm

COP23 Climate Champion and Minister for Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu has rallied delegates to rise up to the issues.

Speaking at the Fiji German Talanoa space, Seruiratu heralded a call to work in tandem for stronger climate action.

“We are in Bonn to save our seas, not to raise them, to protect the vulnerable, not to abandon them, to empower the marginalized and not to ignore them, let this be our call. Talanoa is a way to keep the solution interconnected so I urge you to be energetic, stay engaged, and go to the discussion of sectors which you are not familiar with. Learn, compare, connect, see how we can join together to build solutions.”
