Consumers using less power: FEA

July 2, 2012 7:02 pm

More people are using less power despite an increase in the number of new customers.

Fiji Electricity Authority Chief Executive officer Hasmukh Patel says this is noted in the domestic and commercial market.

“In the first six months I have noticed a reduction in the consumption of power. This is not only for commercial but also for residential consumption and this could also be attributed to the cold weather and not many people use air conditioning.”

Patel is urging people to continue using power wisely to ensure the reliability of power supply to everyone.
