The Consumer Council of Fiji is advising consumers to be vigilant while purchasing white goods especially with Mother’s Day approaching.

This comes as fourteen complaints worth over fourteen thousand dollars were received by the Council regarding items being defective after a few months of purchase.

Council Chief Executive, Premila Kumar says many consumers purchase items such as ovens, refrigerators and washing machines – which they need to ensure it’s of merchantable quality.
