May 9, 2018 4:51 am
The Consumer Council’s Labasa Office has been receiving complaints on issues such as mobile products, electronic goods, lay buy, hire purchase, landlord and tenancy.
In a bid to address the issues Council will set up a Mobile Unit in Labasa Town
Consumers are urged to make use of the mobile units in order to receive up to date information on consumer issues.
Staff of the Consumer Council of Fiji will be present to advocate on consumer rights and responsibilities.
They will also register complaints and provide advice on consumer issues.
Mobile units are a convenient method for those that face difficulties in visiting the Council office so consumers are urged to report any unscrupulous trader practices in the Northern Division for the Council to monitor.
This is an opportune time for the consumers to seek advice and lodge complaints in relation to the issues faced by them in their communities.
