The Fiji Sugar Corporation has engaged the services of a New Zealand consultant to survey the tramlines.

Chief Operating Officer, Navin Chandra says the consultant will be in the country soon.

Chandra says for too long nothing has been done to further improve the rail system that carts sugarcane to the mills.

He says the FSC is working to revive the rail system as it is a cheaper method to transport cane.
