A 29 year old construction worker is currently in police custody after he was found in possession of two parcels containing some branches with dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri says as part of “Operation Gauna ni Marau” a holistic approach is being adopted.

He says this will include searching people that may be acting in a suspicious manner.

The 29 year old remains in custody as investigators await analysis of the leaves.
