Constitution education begins this month

The civic education programme begins this month.

Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says this programme for the first time will provide opportunity to the all citizens of Fiji to understand their role in the making of the new constitution.

The process will continue until July.

Meanwhile, for the first time since his appointment as the Chairman of the constitutional Commission, Professor Yash Ghai is coming to Fiji this Friday.

Sayed-Khaiyum says professor Ghai’s visit is to set a platform before the Consultation process starts.

During his short stay in Fiji, Professor Ghai will meet the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama who returns to Fiji on Monday.
