Conference aims to enhance skills of young leaders

Emerging leaders between the ages of 25 to 35 went through a competitive application process.

Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports, Alipate Nagata says after the completion of the process they became  part of the 2019 Young Pacific Leaders Conference.

Nagata says this conference will help 46 delegates to enhance their skills and professional networks to address regional challenges.

He says experts from across the Pacific will lead trainings, roundtable discussions and site visits to help participants expand their knowledge.

Young Leaders, to lead is to serve. To lead effectively you must drive change and serve your people. Change is inevitable and we must advocate what we believe in for the good of our communities and countries.”

The United States Department in partnership with Cultural Vistas is hosting the four day conference at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
