August 30, 2018 6:17 pm

Concerns have been raised about the increase in cases of jewelry being stolen from Indo-Fijian women living within the vicinity of Nausori.

The issue was brought to the attention of the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during a talanoa session at a temple in Makoi last night.

Nine Miles resident Kajal Kiran says about six women have raised the same issue with Police and nothing has been done.

Kiran says other women living in Nausori have encountered the same experience.
Speaking to FBC News Sayed-Khaiyum says there have been increased reports received by Police regarding the matter and they have dealt with some cases already.

He says they are also working with the Fiji Police Force to ensure that these types of cases are dealt with accordingly.
