More than 30 concerned mother gathered in Suva today to discuss ways of keeping their children safe from drugs.
Many raised concerns that children are the most vulnerable group in our communities and they need proper upbringing.
Ministry of Mom’s founder Ellana Kalounisiga says mothers play an important role in their families and this newly formed group aims to address the growing drug issues within their communities.
“It’s a group of mum’s coming together, trying to look at a way forward to reduce the meth infiltration into Fiji and to keep a safe space for our kids. It’s a bunch of mum’s who care.”
The group had their first meeting today and plan to mobilize themselves in their communities and provide assistance to children in need of help.
