Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has ordered a thorough investigation in regards to photos being circulated on social media about the alleged misconduct of officers who are part of Operation Cavuraka.
He says he has been alerted about the photos and has assured the public that an investigation will be carried out to determine what took place.
Brigadier General Qiliho says that he stressed about the need to respect the rights of suspects during an earlier visit to Operation team in Keiyasi in Navosa.
He adds that any reports that will indicate otherwise will be dealt with accordingly.
The Police Commissioner says he doesn’t condone any of his officers abusing their powers and necessary disciplinary action will be taken against those who do.
