Accident Compensation Commission chief executive, Parvez Akbar, says this is a no fault scheme.

He says the Commission is for the welfare of people who get injured in motor vehicle accidents.

He says the victims don’t have to prove fault or liability but just lodge their claim with the commission.

Akbar says the commission will assess the application and respond in a timely manner.

“Looking forward to really working with everyone and the general public to ensure this is in place very smoothly.”

Akbar says the commission is still finalizing its team so that best services can be provided to the people.
