Community policing program to spread festive awareness

The Community Policing through music program will begin their festive season awareness in the Western Division on Monday.

The Police band and the Western Division Community policing team are expected to spread festive joy with a policing twist.

Director Community Policing SSP, Waqa Cavuilati says the week-long program is expected to be jam packed with visitations planned from Sigatoka to Nalawa.

Cavuilati says they will be visiting Treasure Home, Loloma Home and the Old Peoples Home in Lautoka and will also squeeze in some quick displays in the city and town areas.

He says the program was successfully carried out in the Eastern and Southern divisions where they’ve forged new partnerships with members of the community.

The team will also be moving to the Northern Division soon.

Meanwhile, on Monday the team will begin their tour in some of the villages in Sigatoka such as Navutulevu, Namatakula, Nadraumai, Semo, Rukurukulevu, Cuvu Naidovi and the Naviti Resort.
