Commerce Commission undertakes frequent checks

The Fiji Commerce Commission has been undertaking frequent checks to ensure all traders comply with the law during the current festive season.

According to the Commission Chief Executive Officer Joel Abraham, the level of cooperation so far for traders is well on track.

“Generally the level of compliance from when we started and compared to what we have experienced now has been quite good and we would like to thank the traders for coming out and cooperating with us.”

Abraham says there have been a number of cases reported so far regarding misleading advertisement

He adds they will take appropriate action where needed to ensure customers are well served.
