Commerce Commission to fulfill committment: FFRA

May 21, 2012 7:52 pm

The Fiji Fuel Retailers Association is calling on the Commerce Commission to fulfil its commitment and give them the balance of the increment they earlier requested.

FFRA President Baljit Singh told FBC News, in an earlier submission, they had requested a 6 per cent minimum margin but were only entertained with an interim of 3.5 per cent.

“Our members sort of took in stride because of the devastation that the country went through during the recent floods, we swallowed all that and said we will forego the margin for this instance, however the next increase which the members feel should be in July, we want the Commerce Commission to seriously look at our margins for diesel in July this year.”
