College of the Order of Fiji to launch website

Under the Office of the President, Major General Retired Jioji Konrote says the online portal will make the program more accessible.

The College of the Order of Fiji will soon have its own official website.

It will make it easier to not only nominate deserving Fijians but also to administer the annual program.

The President is also urging Fijians to nominate those whose work and bravery in their respective fields have set them apart.

 

“We will be launching this office’s official website which would ease the processes by which individuals or groups could nominate personnel for the course of honours for consideration for awards as it deems appropriate. Now please take advantage of this new development in our attempt to improve service delivery by ensuring that deserving cases are promptly and adequately addressed.”

Last week, 28 extraordinary Fijians were recognized for their service, commitment, passion, and bravery.

The College of Honors awards exemplary Fijians with medals such as the Companion of the Order of Fiji which is awarded for eminent achievement and merit of the highest degree in service to Fiji or to humanity at large.

There is also the Officer of the Order of Fiji which is awarded for distinguished service of a high degree to Fiji or to humanity at large.

There is also an Officer of the Order of Fiji for the military division.

Under the Member of the Order of Fiji, Fijians are awarded for meritorious service in a particular locality or field of activity or to a community group.

Under the Medal of the Order of Fiji, it’s awarded for service worthy of particular recognition.

The Bravery Medal is awarded for acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances.
