The operating affairs of the Nausori Town Council needs to be given a close look.

Permanent Secretary for Local Government, Joshua Wycliffe made these comments following council chief executive Akhtar Ali being sent on leave.

Wycliffe says there have been a few council matters that required urgent attention and he will be able to comment further once he receives further information.

Attempts to get a comment from Ali were futile.
