With just a few days away from the COP 21 meeting in Paris, today’s climate change march showed we all need to unite and support all calls for serious action regarding climate change.
Hundreds of people gathered for a march in Suva to show their support for the COP 21 meeting in France.
FCOSS Executive Director Neil Maharaj says the event also allowed those present to make a statement, supporting the stance taken by all Pacific Island leaders.
“We want to demonstrate the strength of our movement and put our ambitious commitment to tackle climate change, that’s why on 29th of Nov and today we join thousands around the world for the climate march.”
The Climate Change march aims to create more awareness on the issue of climate change, COP 21 and sustainable development.
