Church to have a new leader

Methodist Church members can expect a change in leadership after the Annual Conference in August.

Church Assistant General Secretary Rev Tevita Nawadra told FBC News the election of a new president will top the agenda.

The permit for the meeting has been granted by police.

Reverend Ame Tugaue’s term as President ended three years ago but since the church couldn’t hold its Conference, he was allowed to carry on.

In the past, the General Secretary has always been elected President, it’s a tradition but not constitutional.
