Church to build home for President

October 17, 2015 7:55 pm

The tender process for the six bedroom home for the president of the Methodist Church in Fiji is underway as construction is expected to start early next year.

Church General Secretary Reverend Epineri Vakadewavosa says the half million dollar home is a permanent residence for anyone who will take the president’s role.

“The actual construction should start in January and will be completed by July next year and the official opening will be on time for the next annual church conference in 2016.”

Vakadewavosa says this is the first development project for Davuilevu.

The money for the home was raised through a week-long Festival of Praise in Suva earlier this year.

The new building will include an office, meeting room, library, accommodation for the visiting pastors, lounge and also the caretaker’s house.
