Church president allowed to chair

The president of the Methodist Church is now given the go ahead to chair their Annual Conference Meeting in August.

This is part of the permit condition Police granted to the Church today.

This is a change on last year’s permit conditions, when the president and general secretary of church were not allowed to chair.

The Church’s stand, to stick to their constitution which only allows the two to chair conference, caused last year’s permit cancellation.

The Police have maintained they will closely monitor that church members strictly abide by the permits condition.
