Church mourns loss of Kenya crash victims

The Christian Mission Fellowship International Church is mourning the loss of their Missionary – Pastor Sakaraia Mataka and his 15-year-old son, Paula Tekei Mataka who were among the eight people who died on the ill-fated Kenyan flight.

Pastor Mataka and his son were traveling from their mission base in Kitale to Nairobi on their way to Fiji when the accident occurred.

The church has confirmed that the Pastor and his son will be buried in Kenya, a nation he served in for more than ten years together with his family.

They are survived by wife and mum Serafina Nacika and three children.

In a statement from the CMF church, the Pastor was one of their first missionaries to Africa and served with the Masaai and Turkana nomadi tribes in Kenya.

Kenyan media reported that it’s believed the Cessna C2018 aircraft flew into a bad storm.
