Methodist Church Ministers have been told to clear off their debts owed to the Church.

This was confirmed by Communication Secretary Wilfred Regunamada who also says that the privileges for Ministers to loan from the Church has been terminated.

Regunamada says some Ministers have suggested for all debts to be written off, however, the Church’s General Superintendent did not agree on the idea.

“ No more borrowing, you can’t go in there now and say can I have $200,000 they will chase you out from there. What do you this is a bank? Before that privilege was given to Ministers to come and loan.”

The list of creditors was not covered in the church’s Financial Statement at the Annual Conference that took place last week and some Ministers have requested for the list.
