July 15, 2013 7:03 pm

The Methodist Church of Fiji is awaiting a response from the Prime Minister’s office, of their request for a meeting.

Church General Secretary Reverend Tevita Nawadra says they have sent their request letter to the Prime Minister.

Reverend Nawadra says all they need is an extension to their AGM days as they will not be able to complete their agenda within the 4 days given to them by the Fiji Police Force.

ACP Rusiate Tudravu earlier told FBC News they will stand by the decision made by the Police Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua unless any changes are made by the Prime Minister.

The Methodist Church is still working within their timeframe but hopes they can meet with the Prime Minister for time extension to their Annual General Meeting the Bose Ko Viti.
