Church aims to engage youth to join MYF

The marginal difference in the number of Sunday schools and Youth is a concern for the Methodist Church.
The Sunday school has more than 53,000 members however only 24, 000 youth are currently part of the Church’s Young Peoples Department.
Church Secretary Rev. Ili Vunisuwai says this is where the church should work closely with all Divisions to help revive the Junior Methodist Youth Fellowship.
Children from the age 5 to 15 are members of the Sunday school whereas youth from the ages 16 and above are members of the MYF.
The Church is confident that ministers in each division can work closely with families in addressing this issue.
Meanwhile, the next session of the Methodist Church conference will involve the new postings of ministers.
The Annual Methodist Church conference ends this Friday.
