Christmas Carols tell the tale of Jesus

December 24, 2018 4:59 pm

As we mark the eve of Christmas, wrapping those final gifts and waiting for the clock to strike midnight, Christmas would not be complete without a little tune of silent night.

Music School, Kingdom Creative Arts’ Director, Ben Morrison says all carols tell the tale of the reason behind this season.

“Christmas carols has a powerful way of bringing across the message of Jesus Christ and who he is and what he came to do. All around the world we remember Christ as we sing these carols. Carols really bring the message home by allowing people not just to remember but to sing and be engaged with the message of Christmas.”

Carols were first sung in Europe thousands of years ago only on Christmas eve by official carol singers called the ‘Waits’.

This marked the welcoming of celebrations just like in the bible when the shepherds were informed by the angel on the birth of Jesus.
