The Chinese Fijian community has been an integral part of Fiji’s growth over the past one hundred and fifty years.

While celebrating the Chinese New Year in Suva earlier today, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says this support from the community has helped Fiji lay a foundation of prosperity and stability.

“As we move forward the Chinese Fijian community has been and invaluable partner in our nation’s development and through the course of 165 years, your community has been proven to be an integral part of our society.”

Bainimarama says Fiji has experienced significant growth which has brought new opportunities for Fijians.

He adds Fiji will continue to seek the community’s support in moving Fiji forward.
