The Ambassador for the People’s Republic of China to Fiji paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General of the Pacific Island Development Forum Feleti Teo yesterday at the PIDF Secretariat Building in Suva.
Ambassador Yong is the first Ambassador from an important development partner to visit the PIDF Secretariat Building since its opening by the Prime Minister on the 26th April.
Teo acknowdged the generous support extended to the PIDF last year by the People’s Republic of China when it provided sponsorship to the highly successful inaugural meeting of the PIDF last August.
The PIDF Second Leaders’ Summit is scheduled for the Sheraton Denarau Nadi from 18th – 20th June this year.
The theme for the Second Summit will be, “Green Growth in the Pacific: Building Resilient Sustainable Futures and Genuine Partnerships.” A United, Distinctive and Sustainable Pacific Society
