“The project is a design build contract and it’s expected that the 2 bridges will be completed in 2 years.”

The FRA will provide project management and technical assistance to the project and looks forward to timely completion of these two bridges.

The FRA plans to demolish one of the building at the Kings Wharf in order to realign the Stinson Parade Bridge and ease traffic movement.

A completely new bridge will be built in Vatuwaqa next to the current bridge.

Both projects are funded by a $30m grant from the Chinese government.
