Children to learn Japanese culture

April 27, 2012 5:21 am

There’s a great opportunity for students to learn the Japanese culture during the school holidays next week.

The Fiji Museum in partnership with the Japanese embassy has organised a three day event targeting school students.

Fiji Museums Marketing Department HOD – Prakashni Sharma says around 55 students have already shown interest and they are expecting more to join in.

Sharma says the program is free and anyone can be a part of it.

“This program is like a traditional Japanese culture, we are experiencing Japanese culture in Fiji and i am sure not all the students know much about the Japanese culture, so will be a great opportunity for them to learn Japanese craft making. We will also have movie screening for children.”

The program starts next Tuesday.
