Children who are under the Care and Protection Allowance Programme have received a timely boost to the school year.

This follows the donation of school bags and stationeries from the staff of the World Health Organisation’s compassionate arm.

Receiving the donation Ministry for Women and Children permanent secretary, Dr. Josefa Koroivueta, encouraged the children to work hard and excel in this academic year.

“With a good education, you can make your dreams come true, have better livelihoods and give back to your families.”

The Programme, assists children from low-income families and single-parent families, prisoner dependents, children with disabilities and children staying at residential care.
