Chiefly status does not mean one is born leader: Bulitavu

October 6, 2015 1:29 am

Opposition MP Mosese Bulitavu says having a chiefly status does not necessarily mean you are a born leader.

Speaking on FBC TV’s 4 The Record Program Opposition MP Mosese Bulitavu said times are changing and that people need to understand that the criteria for leadership should also change.

“We are in a modern age now and need chiefs that are educated, chiefs that understand the law, the legal systems, business and they should be leading by example on how they are going to take their people.”

Bulitavu adds, while some may feel that their chiefly titles are their God given right, people need to be more understanding about their approach to leadership.
