“For a lady or a man for whatever cancer it maybe, when it is only diagnosed than there is a chance of survival. So it is not a death sentence. We need to be positive and we need to change the mentality that exists in Fiji. Some women resort to herbal medicines, or massage and they forget about going to the hospital. This is where the death sentence begins.”

She was speaking at the launch of the Fiji Cancer Society Bra Art competition.
Breast cancer awareness month is next month.
