July 9, 2018 5:05 am

Opposition MP and National Federation Party member Parmod Chand was repeatedly told in parliament to withdraw his comments about health services provided in the west.

Chand claims services provided under the Health Ministry in the Western Division are being paid by the people themselves.

“The government is now forcing the people of western division to pay for Health Care .The very same pocket shackle by high cost of living in the west are expected to fork out more.”

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum raised a point of order as Chand was misleading the parliament.

“He says that we are going to force the people in the western division to pay for medical services which they are currently unpaying for .This actually incorrect .Misleading.”

Chand while commenting on the 2018-2019 budget says it does not represent most of the things that should be done especially for people in the North.

Meanwhile, Economy Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to deliver his right of reply once all the parliamentary members have responded to the national budget.
