The Citizens Constitutional Forum is now looking to mend relations with the government.
Before last year’s elections the CCF had been one of the main critics of the government and many of its decision on matters of the Constitutional and human rights.
Newly appointed CEO Bulutani Mataitawakilai appeared on FBC TV’s 4 The Record programme last night and says one of his immediate goals is to re-engage with the government.
“That is one of the main objectives to continue to engage with the government and re-build that broken bridge. An NGO is important to the government in nation building especially building the capacity and skills of the community.”
The CCF is currently running a number of programmes on the constitution, the Bill of rights and providing leadership training at the district, divisional and provincial level
Mataitawakilai stresses that the NGO will continue its advocacy role at policy level
